ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Experience working with Analog and Digital circuit design
  • Ability to use and program Micro-Controllers
  • Working knowledge of serial communications protocols including: RS232, RS422, RS485, and CAN
  • Worked with Motors and Motor Controllers
  • Working knowledge of power supplies: low voltage DC and high voltage supplies
  • Working knowledge of LED and LCD displays
  • Performing schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium
  • Experienced with documentation and drawings in Auto CAD
  • Possess good soldering skills: SMT and Through Hole
  • Ability to construct working prototypes and test fixtures
  • Working knowledge of wire/cable types and cable connectors and terminals
  • Perform EMC Test and Mitigation
  • Create and write functional requirement specifications
  • Create and write verification and validation procedures and reports
  • Document ECNs
  • Ability to locate and test alternative parts in place of obsolete or hard to obtain parts
  • Identify opportunities for performance and cost-reducing enhancements
  • Work with outside suppliers worldwide
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the education, knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent
  • Three years of electrical design experience
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects, meet deadlines, communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and have good interpersonal skills
  • Experience in the design and development of class II medical devices is desirable
