Quality Inspector

Full Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform first article, incoming, in-process, and final inspection of parts, assemblies, final product, and returns using Test & Measurement Equipment (both electrical and mechanical)
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings
  • “Hands-on” mechanical inspection experience with calipers, thread gages, and other manual measurement equipment
  • Help maintain records (both electronic and hard copy) of incoming and final products to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements
  • Issue serial number labels to production and maintains S/N database
  • Maintain all records required to complete the FDA Annual Report
  • Maintain all Device History Record files
  • Maintain calibration system, send out equipment for calibration, update the database accordingly
  • Assist with Work Instruction development and update as required
  • Perform in house system audits
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • 2 years work experience in Quality, preferred
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of ISO quality activities
  • 2 years experience using test & measurement equipment, both mechanical and electrical, preferred
  • Working knowledge of engineering drawings
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred
  • Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience with ERP systems preferred
  • Work in a team environment
