Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Full Job Description
Del Medical, Inc., is a leader in radiography equipment is looking for career-minded candidates to join our Company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Preparing and packaging product for warehousing and shipping per Company standards
- Stocking warehouse shelving and racks to prepare for order picking
- Pick orders per packing list and stage for Quality Assurance inspection
- Enter receiving information in the computer
- Complete documentation and serialization required for Company product
- Aid in identifying possible order entry errors
- Prepare documents necessary for shipping orders through specified carriers and shipment method (standard freight or expedited freight)
- Contact freight carriers and coordinate shipping rates and schedules
- Work closely with customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain inventory accuracy by following established procedures
- Adhere to ISO procedures to maintain compliance
- Work in a professional manner with all customers and fellow employees both internal and external
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous packing and shipping experience
- Knowledge of tooling required for packaging (staple guns, tape machines, etc.)
- Experience in material handling equipment essential, stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. and safe operations
- Ability to read packing list and work instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively with customer service
- Clear handwriting skills for completion of documentation
- Experience in shipping documentation and coordinating freight carriers
- FedEx and UPS computer skills preferred
- Basic computer usage skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
